Attention is not one thing

Researchers may measure reaction time, error rate, sustained vigilance, orienting, or executive control. A product page that says “better focus” usually does not specify which of these it means.

What human studies show

Results vary. A 2023 study of gamma binaural beats found no significant benefit on several attention measures compared with control conditions. Other experiments may report changes under different methods. The disagreement is a signal to avoid universal claims.

How to use the information

If a listener feels that a routine helps them begin work, that may be a useful personal observation. It is not the same as evidence that the audio improves attention across people or improves memory later.
